The Music Program is over!

With the program over, it's time to start some real choir music. I'm very excited. I am making a packet of information to take home, in the packet you will find; the attendance policy, t-shirt order form, December rehearsal scheduel, and Information about Caroling for Santa at a Rivermen hockey game!

Nice job at the program guys, I know you work really hard.

Happy New Year! Choir year that is...

I'm so glad you want to make music, but realize that being in choir is a big commitment! You are expected to be at rehearsal if you were at school. Students who do not take choir seriously will be kicked out, no concert, no field trip, no exceptions.
Here's the current rehearsal schedule:

KING choir for boys and girls will meet October 7, 14, 21 and November 2,9,16
from after school until 4:00.

NIELSON choir for boys and girls will meet October 8, 16, 22, 29 and November 3, 10 from after school until 4:00.


What we will be practicing:
October: music for our school program
November: music for our school program
(Nielson School’s 4th and 5th grade program is Thursday, Nov. 12
King School’s 4th and 5th grade program is Thursday, Nov. 19.)
December: Begin district choir music!

CONCERT!

The concert was great last night, I'm so proud of all of you. I was glad to direct the "fun songs". (and thanks for clapping so loud when I was introduced, I love being everybody's favorite.) Ladies the ballad was just as beautiful as it was at practice. I wish I had had the honor of directing that piece. All that hard work really paid off. I missed the boys first song because I had to run out to my car for a T-Shirt for Dillon. Arg. but it was a good show and the boys were even a good audience for the ladies. The singing streaks were cute. I wish there had been a dancy choir at my Junior High :( back in the olden days...

Happy Joes

OMG! choir filedtrips= craziness. The boys did a nice job at Happy Joes and had fun sharing and playing the games, to be honest I'd say they handled that priviledge better than the girls did. I just felt so bad for the employees. The girls sang so beautifully at rehearsal this afternoon and did a great job remembering all the choreography. I can't wait for the festival tonight. Be there at 6:45!... or else. :)

At Nielson today in honor of our last practice, we played instruments and hung out. It was really fun to be friends and be creative together.

Rehearsals at GHS

This week the students rehearsed at GHS for the festival on April 2nd. The girls were better behaved then the boys and sounded better however, we had several sit out and say "they didn't feel good" and one girl did actually barf. The boys are just squirrley. I was dissappointed when I saw my King boys get scolded by one of the other teachers. Lame.
